The WinterHaven Hotel, the newest hotel
on Ocean Drive, is now open following a two-year, top-to-bottom
renovation of its dramatic lobby and guest rooms. The hotel,
located at Ocean Drive and 14th Street, is directly across the
street from the Atlantic Ocean, and features ocean views from
most of its guest rooms.
The 1939 Art Deco jewel, designed by
top Deco architect Albert Anis, offers South Beach rarities:
five-star hotel service, refined and tasteful surroundings,
and a quiet corner location four blocks north of the Ocean Drive
hubbub.
The WinterHaven is now under the banner
of the Naples, Fla.-based Coral Collection of Fine Hotels &
Resorts, which also manages the nearby Essex House Hotel, another
South Beach Art Deco gem; the Chesapeake Resort, a tropical
hideaway in Islamorada, FL; the Hotel Escalante, a luxurious
Mediterranean style retreat in exclusive Old Naples, and the
Langford Hotel, a historic Winter Park, FL property currently
undergoing renovation and scheduled to reopen in November of

A two year, top-to-bottom renovation has resulted in a hotel
that preserves its historical significance while reflecting
the requirements of a modern era.
All guestrooms are decorated in custom
designed Art Deco style furniture upholstered in soothing tones
of soft green, ginger and cream. Warm yellow walls are accented
with black and white photos of classic Miami Beach Deco hotels.
Wooden Venetian blinds add to the airy, tropical feeling.
